Roundup of Friday's boys basketball games

Xenia won its third straight boys high school basketball game Friday night, 78-69 in overtime over Lebanon.

Lebanon (2-2) tied it 62-all on a free throw with two seconds left in regulation, but in OT, the Bucs pulled away from the No. 2 team in the Dayton Daily News Division I ratings.

Chris Oakes led the X-men with 24 points, while Zach Furlong had 19 points and 19 rebounds. Derek Hellemann and Kyle Hancharick had 15 each for Lebanon.

Spg. South 80, Fairmont 71: Chris DeArmond had 27 as the Wildcats (3-3) surprised the 3-2 Firebirds. Lamar Skeeter had 29 for Fairmont.

Trotwood-Madison, 117, Sidney 51: The Rams, No. 1 in the DDN D-I ratings, put six players in double figures as they cruised to 2-0. Chris Wright had 27 points and Duane Morgan 22.

Dunbar 65, Cin. Withrow 51: Aaron Pogue dominated the middle with 19 points and 22 rebounds, while Norris Cole scored 26 for the 3-1 Wolverines.

Centerville 61, Spg. North 32: Matt Kavanaugh had 17 points and 10 rebounds and brother Alan 16 points for the 4-1 Elks.

Fenwick 63, Carroll 59 OT: Kevin Donoher hit 5-of-6 free throws in the extra period to pace the Falcons to their first win.

Miamisburg 52, Fairborn 42: Ben Wieland and Sky Grieshop each scored 14 as the Vikings won their first game.

Stivers 70, Cin. Performing Arts 42: Nathan Davis had 17 points and 12 rebounds for the 3-2 Tigers.

Tippecanoe 62, Indian Lake 33: Kellen Zawadzki led the 3-0 Red Devils with 26 points.

Brookville 77, Dixie 76 3 OT: Brad Peters' free throw with 20 seconds left in the third OT won it for the Blue Devils (2-3). Kyle Barnett scored 28 for the winners. Jared Moore had 30 for Dixie.

Bellbrook 46, Franklin 43: Aaron Willshaw scored 16 as the Eagles handed Franklin (4-2) its second straight loss.

Carlisle 66, Northridge 48: Braxston Campbell scored 16 as the Indians raised their record to 4-1.

Monroe 43, Mid. Madison 37: Tyler Osterman had 23 points as the Hornets (3-0) handed the No. 1 D-III team in the DDN ratings its first loss. Spencer Jared had 21 for Madison, which was missing two of its top scorers — Nathanael Harney and Jared Ferguson with injuries.

Milton-Union 67, Valley View 55: The Bulldogs are 2-0 with the victory. Nikko Johnson had 18 points, Mitchell Evans 16, and Rudy Dennler and Adam Rush 10 each. Andy Hasty led Valley View (1-3) with 14.

Waynesville 54, Preble Shawnee 27: The Spartans (2-3) played good defense, holding Shawnee to eight points in the first half. Cory Hopwood scored 11 for Waynesville, which also got 10 each from Michael Brooks and Brady Deters.

Bethel 74, Miami East 58: The Bees improved to 5-0, 3-0 in the Cross County Conference. Tony Phillips threw in 27 points, while Brian Muse had 13 points and nine rebounds.

Ansonia 65, National Trail 46: The Tigers (3-1) are 3-0 in the CCC. Brad McEldowney had 19 points and Eric Beisner 16.
